"The year is the Light's, and every season is given to its keeping."
The cathedral fills the whole year with feasts and fasts, so that no season passes without remembrance of the Saints and the Root. The faithful are bound to keep the days of obligation, on which all attend the cathedral and do no unnecessary work. The vigils are nights of fasting before a feast. Heed the bells, and be kept.
